We build strong relationships and work cooperatively with our people, customers and our community to continuously improve our performance and contribute to a smart, sustainable and vibrant Newcastle.We seek individuals who bring diverse perspectives, a continuous improvement mindset, and align with our core values: caring, excellence, integrity, and progress.This role reports to the Health and Safety Manager, focusing on partnering with the business to provide health & safety advice and champion a 'Work to Live' culture focused on employee health & wellbeing and safety performance excellence.In this key role you will:Lead and support health and safety improvement initiatives.Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations.Manage risk assessments and mitigation strategies.Support operational activities such as investigations, incident and emergency response.Partner with leaders on all health and safety matters.What we are looking for:Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety and Safety Management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Passionate about continuous improvement and delivering a service-oriented approach to health and safety.Health and Safety advisory experience and a good working knowledge of NSW Workplace Health and Safety legislation.Competitive remuneration, including 18.5% Superannuation and generous leave entitlements.
