Role Summary The Health and Safety Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective implementation of health and safety policies and procedures, as well as providing support for Return-to-Work initiatives. Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager... Key Responsibilities: Coaching and Consultation: Offer consultancy and advisory services to internal stakeholders on matters concerning Health and Safety and Return to Work. Policies, Procedures, and Compliance: Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of health and safety policies and procedures. Investigations: Support Managers and Supervisors in conducting accident investigations. Administration: Ensure accuracy of WorkCover payments by collaborating with relevant departments. Health and Safety Management: Provide support to all employees regarding Health and Safety matters. Return to Work: Coordinate and process WorkCover claims and facilitate the return-to-work process for injured or ill employees. Wellbeing: Analyze and evaluate health and wellbeing data to inform decision-making. Project Work: Undertake project work related to Health and Safety as directed by the Human Resources Manager. Adhoc Tasks: Address any adhoc tasks assigned by the immediate Manager. Key Requirements: Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Hours: 40hrs, Monday to Friday with flexibility which can be discussed. 2 days in the office, but Tuesdays and Wednesdays are core days in the office.
