About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Coordinator to join the Pental team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead safety initiatives and make a positive impact. You will work closely with all employees and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with OHS legislation and promote a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs.
Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to prevent incidents.
Organise and lead monthly OHS committee meetings and training sessions.
Maintain and review OHS policies and procedures.
Liaise with DuluxGroup Occupational Health Nurses and other stakeholders on safety matters.
Manage the plant hazard register and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Support the Return to Work practices and injury management processes.
Qualifications:
Essential:
WHS certification (Cert IV WHS minimum).
Strong knowledge of OHS legislation and safety practices.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
Desirable:
Knowledge of Dangerous Goods Acts and chemical handling.
Cert IV in Training and Assessment.
Familiarity with risk assessment and incident management.
