The Opportunity
Join our high performing Health and Safety function as a Health & Safety Advisor. In this autonomous and varied role you will provide health and safety compliance advice to operational management and will support personnel to achieve safety excellence and maximise company safety performance through audit, engagement, training, investigation and continuous improvement. And in the long run, you'll contribute to a sustainable future for Australia.
The position is based in the metropolitan area and includes travel to remote locations. Therefore, willingness to travel and an active driver's licence is required.
What's on offer Flexible working environment Opportunities for growth and career development Diverse role where you can travel to multiple sites Attractive salary, car allowance and fuel card Eligibility for a yearly discretionary bonus Work with experienced and knowledgeable leadership teams that champion a strong safety culture What you'll be responsible for Building strong and engaging working relationships at all levels Leading incident investigations and reporting Conducting inspections and audits in accordance with the internal audit schedule Being proactive, promoting H&S and continuously help improve the business Being visible across the workplace, building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders by spending time in the field What you'll need to be successful Formal qualification in WHS Cert 4 or greater and demonstrable industry experience Qualification in incident investigation such as ICAM (or relevant experience) Effective influencing skills with the ability to engage at all levels of an organisation Working knowledge and understanding of relevant WHS legislation including Chain of Responsibility Valid Australian Driver's Licence A Veolia Career Veolia ANZ values employees and their health and wellbeing.
