Demonstrated experience in reflecting upon practice and engaging in professional learning to continually improve the quality of teaching.RoleSome of the key responsibilities of this position include:Co-ordinate and teach PE and sport throughout each year level throughout the schoolCo-ordinate the whole school swimming program to be facilitated together with the classroom teachers and ES staff membersCo-ordinate whole school sporting activities such as athletics carnival, swimming carnival, inter school sports and cross countryOther duties as directed by the Principal and Assistant PrincipalThis role will include a classroom teacher component as Leading teacher relief with the same class 1 day per week.ResponsibilitiesThe role of Health and Physical Education teacher/classroom teacher may include but is not limited to:Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students;Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum program within the school;Undertaking other classroom teaching related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal;Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings; staff meetings; camps and excursions;Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.Who May ApplyTeachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.Child Safe StandardsVictorian government schools are child safe environments.
