We are looking for an Experienced Head Nurse who has strong communication and team building skills and previous experience leading and motivating a high functioning nursing team!

Greencross Kangaroo Flat is an open plan design, aiding in the inclusive and cohesive team environment amongst our Vets and Vet Nurses. We are a community focused practice with some very loyal long-term clients, team wellbeing and mental health is a top priority, supported with flexible working arrangements. Our facilities include 2 consult rooms, prep area, surgical room, radiography room, separate dog and cat wards.
About your New Job:
Permanent Part-time role
Undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology and emergency and critical care
Performing minor procedures when required
Taking initiative to enhance clinic operations and efficiency
Collaborating with the vet team to ensure high standards of patient care
Maintaining the overall hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipment
Reception duties and customer service
About your skill level and experience:
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
3+ years' Veterinary Nursing experience
Excellent animal handling skills and an extensive knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures
Experience coaching and mentoring Vet Nurses
Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
A calm and friendly presence
Strong communication and customer service skills
Knowledge of RX Works ideal but not essential
