The Ballarat Regional Tennis Centre Inc – Wendouree VICBallarat Regional Tennis Centre is located in Wendouree, Ballarat with 12 hard courts, 6 synthetic clay courts and 6 hot shot courts. All courts have lighting. BRTC facilitates many social, developmental and competitive playing opportunities.BRTC seeks continual improvement – striving for better facilities, closer connection to community, value for sponsors and provides a supportive and inclusive environment for participants, members and guests to achieve their full potential.Primary Purpose of RoleThis position is responsible for the ongoing management and financial sustainability of BRTC and to ensure its operations aligns with the club's mission and vision. This includes ensuring that BRTC continues to develop into a centre that is welcoming, safe, inclusive, innovative, community focused and socially connected.The role also is responsible for promoting the benefits of participation in tennis for the benefit of the club, club members and general public including schools and other community groups.Success in this role would mean that BRTC continues to be financially secure and is viewed throughout the local and state community as a centre that develops and supports regional, state and national level tennis players. Success would also mean that appropriate activity has grown membership and community involvement in the tennis centre.Key Relationships:Internal –Club CommitteeCoachesMembers (adult and children)External –City of BallaratOther affiliation clubsSport & Recreation VictoriaKey Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Develop, present and implement business plans to ensure financial security of the club including payments of accounts and invoicing of club memberships and competitions.Ensure appropriate management of day to day activities of the centre including but not limited to stocking of kiosk and bar, some cleaning of facilities and overseeing court maintenance.Planning, development and implementation of programs including but not limited to;JuniorMember CompetitionsTennis Victoria CompetitionsSchool holidayFitnessOther Competition programsCoaching players of all levels and collaborate with other BRTC coaches to provide best coaching and environment to all players. Expected to participate in all on court programs.Develop program targeting membership growthEngage, communicate and manage relationships with all relevant stakeholdersCommunity Engagement Program including School ProgramsPlayer Tournament support including travelling with teams to other competitions.Maintaining a strong community atmosphere and promote tennis with all families and individuals in any club activities.Seek grants and sponsorship opportunitiesManagement of website and other social media platformsAct as a tournament Director for all BRTC tournamentsKey Qualities & AttributesDemonstrated passion for player developmentAligned with BRTC values, philosophy and standardsExcellent communication and customer service skillsKnowledge of modern coaching practices and player developmentWell organised and strong attention to detailSelf-starter with initiative and ability to set clear priorities and meet deadlinesThe ability and desire to participate with juniors in points tournaments if required.Structured and positive approach to lesson delivery with extensive use of video playback and other tools within lessons.Strong customer service outlook, collaborating with all club members and committee, staff and various users of the Club.Reliable, trustworthy, professional, and passionate.Great communication enabling effective engagement with players, parents, and colleagues alike.Qualifications and Experience:Experience:Necessary –Minimum of seven years of Coaching experienceMinimum of two years of coaching experience with performance playersRelevant certification from a recognised tennis coaching association (or willingness to obtain).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Prepared to work flexible hours including working on evenings, weekends and school holidaysHave a current Tennis Australia coaching membership or willingness and ability to obtain.Preferred –Finance skillsPlayed tennis at a very high competitive levelExperience with offering tournament supportOn Offer:Base Salary of $73,600 to $75,000 + superannuationExtra earnings available for coaching after payment of court hire based on hours of usageDynamic and supportive work environment.LOCATIONBallarat Regional Tennis CentreEMPLOYMENT STATUSFull TimeSTART DATE01 April 2025APPLICATIONS CLOSE31 December 2024QUALIFICATIONSClub Professional (Level 2) Coach.
