HammondCare provides care primarily through hospitals, residential care homes and home-based care as well as services for dementia support, community palliative care, rehabilitation, positive aging and older persons' mental health.

About the role This exciting senior role leads, supports and develops our volunteer services across our residential, health and home care portfolios with oversight of almost 800 volunteers across the organisation. This critical leadership role manages four passionate Volunteer Managers who support 23 Volunteer Coordinators who are based in our local services. Our Volunteer Service attracts, recruits, retains and motivates our valued volunteers whose core focus is supporting the people we care for.

The role is provided with significant autonomy to lead the team and continue to identify and deliver on continuous improvement for the Volunteers program in partnership with the HammondCare Leadership Team, particularly the GMs of the operational business units (Residential, Home Care, Health). The role is responsible for the end-to-end management of the Volunteer Services operations including strategy planning, budget setting and oversight, learning and development, broader sector engagement, Government engagement, public engagements on behalf of HammondCare, risk management and issue resolution.

This is a role with a broad remit, clear accountabilities and responsibilities, significant freedom to take the Volunteer Services program to new levels of quality and impact and is highly aligned to HammondCare's Next Chapter organisational strategy.
