In this RoleLead transformational approaches to Category planning and execution that deliver wholesale sales, income budget and improvements in COGs for retailers.Win share by expanding range into high growth segments, combined with delivering best in market wholesale pricing.Set strategic agenda and partner with Suppliers to meet collective Channel needs on range, price, promotion, brand and store compliance, leveraging volumes during negotiations.Collaborate and partner with Channel and State teams to embed new ways of working fuelled by Shopper, Retailer and Metcash outcomes.Enable the highest standards of execution, rewarding behaviour that drives network growth.You're Likely a Match IfTenacious, innovative and proven negotiation skills that build partnerships with suppliers for mutual growth.Highly collaborative leader who can translate strategy to action across various teams.Preferable a background in sourcing.Curiosity and obsession with cultivating Shopper and Category insights that determine actions.Leadership that inspires teams with vision and courage to deliver while embedding change and building resilience.Commercial acumen with intimate knowledge of the drivers of success in a Category P&L.Proven record of delivering category strategies & plans that are clearly communicated, believed, enabled, empowering the team to succeed in delivery.Life at MetcashExperience a supportive and flexible work environment.
