The Head of Technology Risk provides independent oversight, review and challenge of the risk profile for technology, along with valuable insights derived from emerging trends. This is a fantastic opportunity where you can move into a newly created position and help achieve our technology strategy and risk management.
A few of your responsibilities:
Monitor Technology strategy and risk management within risk appetite Oversee and challenge technology, cyber and data risk management, including the design and implementation of controls and managing risk in change. Provide independent view of residual risk exposure, adherence to risk frameworks, policies and regulatory requirements, including ICMs and SOPs Independently escalate technology, cyber and data risk matters to appropriate governance forums Oversee Technology issue, incident and breach management What we are looking for:
Extensive Technology risk expertise in a large, complex, highly regulated organisation Extensive knowledge of industry cyber security standards such as NIST, Essential 8, ISO27000 and PCI DSS Ability to identify risks and pivot resources and delivery approach accordingly Strong understanding of governance and experience in stakeholder management Demonstrated success in influencing and leading others. About You
You are a proactive, detail-oriented professional with expertise in technology risk management. You effectively monitor initiatives to align with risk appetite while clearly explaining complex technology concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Comfortable in fast-paced environments, you collaborate across teams to manage risks and challenge controls, especially during periods of change. Your strong communication helps ensure continuous improvement and effective risk management. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of our technology risk management at The Star.
