About the role As the Head of Talent, you are integral to the success of V/Line's People, Safety, Sustainability and Risk Group. You will lead the strategic direction and implementation of many of Talent's operational procedures, managing a team to attract, recruit and retain top talent. This role involves providing mentorship, driving organizational growth, and supporting managers in aligning with V/Line's values and objectives. As one of two new Heads of Talent, this position will focus primarily on the operational and volume portfolios within V/Line.
Key Accountabilities include: Strategic Development: Collaborate on and develop V/Line's Talent Acquisition Strategy.Team Leadership: Lead and develop the Talent Acquisition team, driving capability uplift and spearheading transformational initiatives to enhance team performance.Process Improvement: Strengthen and develop strategic processes to manage high volumes of recruitment activity.Project Leadership: Lead Talent-related projects across the business, including Talent technology uplift.Framework Development: Lead and develop frameworks, tools, and processes supporting Talent Acquisition efforts, ensuring compliance with Victorian Public Sector standards.About you You are a forward-thinking leader with a continuous improvement mindset and a deep passion for diversity. Your exceptional stakeholder management skills, strong people-management capability, and business acumen make you an invaluable asset to any team. Our ideal candidate will also possess the following:
Digitally savvy, with experience in implementing recruitment technology.Proven experience in leading a team through transformation and capability uplift.Continuous improvement mindset, with a track record of enhancing processes and procedures.Experience working in large, complex organisations, managing high-volume recruitment bound by Enterprise Agreements.Background in developing Early Career Recruitment Programs.Demonstrated alignment to V/Line's values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.In addition to free myki travel, we offer:
