You will lead the software engineering strategy, foster collaboration across various business functions, and oversee the Software Engineering team's systematic approach to product development. Your goal is to deliver software products that meet Holocentric's strategic goals and customer needs.What you'll do in this roleYou'll be responsible for:As part of the senior leadership team, collaborating with your peers to deliver strategic goals and outcomes for the business;Leading, inspiring and motivating an expert team of solution architects, analysts, software developers, testers and DevOps;Developing a compelling software engineering vision and strategy to serve as the team's north star;Defining and driving practical operational plans including team design and budgeting;Developing and continuously improving our software engineering approach including defining and adopting best practices and processes;Identifying, assessing, planning and mitigating technology risks and data security risks in accordance with our policies;Overseeing technical product support, technology suppliers, business continuity and disaster recovery;Providing technical guidance and support to the software engineering team;Developing work estimates, resource plans and budgets with the Chief Product Officer and product managers to support development and delivery of product roadmaps;Allocating and managing resources including personnel, tools and technologies to undertake planned software engineering activities;People management for the software engineering team including the attraction and retention, goal and KPI setting and tracking, professional development and talent management.What does it take?To succeed, you'll need:A strong passion and experience in people leadership including but not limited to inspiring and motivating teams, creating accountability, building engagement and collaboration, and fostering professional development and learning.A passion and experience in identifying business and operational opportunities and issues, developing ideas with others, gathering support, collaborating and implementing solutions.A passion and experience in leading and improving product development operations.Experience or knowledge in developing and managing technology strategy, risk and security.Experience in developing and executing strategic plans and managing resources effectively.Perks of the jobMake real change with a high degree of autonomy, management and peer support.Get access to opportunities for career advancement and professional growth in executive leadership.Get access to a vast range of professional development resources, training courses and leadership accelerators, a network of thousands of thought leaders and executive leaders in our parent company.Opportunities to attend international leadership and best practice learning events that run twice a year.A collaborative bonus that reflects shared contribution to company performance.Flexible work arrangements: hybrid work model, with remote work and work from overseas options.Flexible off-in-lieu and recharge leave to support flexible work patterns.Holocentric is a multi-diverse and equal opportunity employer.
