The Role: As the Head of Safety and Quality you will lead and manage QGAir's safety and quality assurance responsibilities ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and foster a robust health and safety culture within the organisation. You will have a focus on continuous improvement to drive QGAir's commitment to safe, efficient and high-quality aviation operations.
Your responsibilities will include: Provide leadership and direction ensuring a service ethos delivering a high standard of safety and quality to support the QGAir operation, and compliance with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority regulatory framework.Design, develop and implement policies, systems and initiatives that drive performance indicators contained within QGAir's Safety Management System and ISO Quality Management System.Manage the safety and quality reporting scheme and occurrence reporting systems including initiation of reporting, investigation and assistance with resolution/mitigation.Facilitate a collaborative and performance driven environment which supports change management and continuous improvement in the areas of safety and quality.Lead the development of the health and safety culture where all staff are aware of and actively participate in safety initiatives, including undertaking risk assessments and hazard identification to ensure the site remains compliant and risks are identified and managed.Identify emerging issues and changing trends in aviation safety and quality through research, monitoring, macro, and micro environmental analysis.Advise the Fixed Wing and Rotary Wing Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) holder and QGAir executive leadership on matters pertaining to safety and quality.Lead audits (both internal and external) including preparation, resolution of noncompliance and review of observations. What We're Looking For Mandatory requirement: Ability to attain separate CASA Form 4 appointments as Safety Manager and Quality Manager. The following qualifications and experience would be highly regarded: Tertiary qualifications in Safety/Quality Management and Aviation Management.Minimum of 10 years in leadership within the aviation safety and quality fields.Safety and Quality Lead Auditor experience.
