Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and as a vital member of our senior leadership team, you will lead Pioneer's risk management, compliance and business continuity frameworks that contribute to the achievement of the company's strategic outcomes.About this opportunity:In the role of Head of Risk & Compliance you will:Contribute to the development and achievement of Pioneer's strategy and business plans, ensuring effective consideration of risk & compliance, and identification of strategic risks.Develop and execute Risk & Compliance business plans aligned to overall strategy.Execute upon and further mature Pioneer's Risk Management and Corporate Governance Framework.Develop and manage the compliance framework to ensure legal and regulatory adherence.Support the organisation's risk appetite and risk culture framework.Maintain risk management system for accurate and timely reporting and decision-making.Effective communication of risk and compliance matters including timely and accurate reporting and/or escalation in accordance with relevant protocols, including regular reporting to Board and relevant Committees.Oversee quality and assurance activities, including policy and procedure development and maintenance.Lead the Risk & Compliance team, including setting goals, expectations and providing performance guidelines.To be successful in this role:Commercial experience in a similar role, or a minimum of 10 years' experience in progressively senior risk roles.Financial and non-financial risk acumen, together with broad business experience across operational processes.Understanding of Financial Services regulatory environment as well as key legislation impacting business activities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience preparing and presenting risk reports to an executive and/or Board.Experience with Protecht software (or other risk systems) advantageous.Experience leading and developing a team.This role is located in Perth, Western Australia.
