The role will develop and implement quality strategies to ensure our product and processes meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, overseeing quality assurance processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of the business.
Responsibilities Lead and manage the quality department to ensure effective quality control and quality assurance processes.Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems to comply with industry standards and regulations.Establish quality goals and objectives and monitor performance against key metrics.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize processes.Ensure that all quality procedures, standards, and specifications are maintained across the organisation.Provide leadership and mentorship to the quality team members ensuring a high performing team.Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.Requirements Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).Relevant tertiary qualifications.Extensive experience in quality management within a manufacturing or engineering environment at a senior leadership level.Demonstrated senior leadership skills with a track record of driving quality improvements.Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.Strong communication skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.Defence industry and/or shipbuilding experience is deemed highly desirable.How to Apply To be considered for this role, please click 'Apply for this job' link and upload your resume and cover letter explaining why you'd be a great fit for this opportunity.
