About the role: Maxima are currently seeking an experienced Head of Quality and Business Assurance to lead the Quality and Business Assurance team.
Reporting to the Chief People & Information Officer, you will drive business improvement and provide assurance to the business through ongoing compliance, including managing external audits, while making recommendations to ensure the organisation operates in a lawful, compliant, effective, efficient and continuously improving manner.
As the go-to person in the quality division, you will provide expert advice and guidance on all quality, governance, risk and compliance matters, including performing operational risk assessments, advisory, compliance, accreditation and assurance activities for the organisation, third party services, applications and information assets.
Some key responsibilities include: Provide leadership and day-to-day management of the Quality and Business Assurance team.
Drive the compliant operation, integrity and continuous improvement of the management system and Internal Audit function.
Oversee and drive quality objectives as directed by policy, business plans, Board Key Performance Indicators, audit and assurance plans.
Proactively monitor and report on organisational risk and compliance performance and provide advice on corrective action where organisational risk or quality objectives are outside of, or trending away from the appetite or KPIs of the Executive and Board.
Establish and maintain a positive rapport with team members, broader business and our customers.
Monitor changes in the industry, legislation, regulations, funding contracts and standards and make recommendations to ensure the organisation operates in a lawful, compliant, effective and efficient manner.
Ensure records including incidents, risk assessments and audits, risk treatments, corrective actions, opportunities for improvement are accurately recorded in the appropriate system(s).
Monitor, coordinate and act on incidents, OFI's, NCR's and actions as recorded in the Management System.
Oversee, coordinate and manage the registration, certification, accreditation, audit and surveillance of all standards and frameworks Maxima is subscribed to.
Oversee Maxima's Internal Auditing Program including testing of business continuity and disruptive event preparedness.
Develop and review Business/Service Process Maps to inform new service design, risk assessment and auditing tools.
Lead and promote a Privacy by Design approach.
To be successful in this role, you will have: Proven experience and qualifications in Quality Management, Auditing, or related fields.
Experience leading Risk Management and ISO 31000 and its practical application within an enterprise at a Strategic, Operational, Program and Project levels.
Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, NSDS and NDIS or similar, including being the Lead Auditor for the Internal Audit function.
Experience in Business Continuity planning and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to write governance reports for senior management.
Experience with ISO 19011 Auditing Management Systems, Privacy by Design – Australian Privacy Act and APP's and/or demonstrated skills in the use of Skytrust or equivalent Quality Management System would also be desirable, but not essential.
You will also need: Evidence of approved ATAGI COVID Vaccinations, or a valid exemption.
A current National Criminal History Record Check (Police Clearance) or able to apply.
A current Working with Children Check or able to apply.
A current NDIS Worker's Screening or able to apply.
