What the day will look like A pivotal role in our organisation, you will lead our local Property best practice initiatives as well as manage complex reinsurance transactions and foster strong relationships with clients and underwriters locally and globally. You will be responsible for orchestrating the strategy and placement of reinsurance programmes, negotiating terms, and ensuring optimal coverage for our clients.
Joining as a senior broker, you will Account Manage and have Lead Broker responsibilities for some of the largest (re)insurance placements in the Australian market. In conjunction with leading local Property best practice, you will take part in regional and global practice group discussions and thought leadership.
Your day-to-day activities will include:
Account Management and lead Broker responsibilities for nominated reinsurance accounts in the Pacific Region – involving the full breadth of Client Advice, Consulting, Negotiation and Placement of resulting reinsurance programmes.Development and maintenance of Client Plans, Identification of regional Opportunities, Understanding of Client Objectives and Business Needs (financial, commercial, capital, strategic etc).Collaborating with clients to understand their risk management needs and objectives.Working with colleagues across the organisation to ensure solutions meet client objectives and are aligned with market appetite.Developing and presenting comprehensive reinsurance proposals to clients.Negotiating terms, conditions, and pricing with reinsurance underwriters.Overseeing the placement process and ensuring timely execution of reinsurance transactions.Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and other stakeholders in the reinsurance market.Have an active role in preparing and presenting proposals to prospective clients.Working closely with all levels of Aon team members to ensure appropriate delivery of Aon United capabilities to clients in the Pacific Region.How this opportunity is different Aon's Reinsurance Solutions business offers clients access to every traditional and alternative market in the world, through an international network of offices spanning 50 countries. As Head of Property, you will support with account management of some of the largest re-insurance placements in the Australian and New Zealand market.
Skills and experience that will lead to success Experience in reinsurance broking / underwriting, with a proven track record of successfully managing property focussed and/or complex reinsurance transactions.Strong technical knowledge of reinsurance principles, products, and practices.Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.Excellent written and verbal presentation skills (including report writing, tender preparation).Excellent analytical and numerical skills including balance sheet analysis, client research capabilities with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound recommendations.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Professional demeanour and strong business ethics.Ability to work under pressure and with autonomy.How we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
