The Role This role will oversee our capital works partner relationships and manage commercial risks to drive quality and value across our $1.9 billion capital works program in the coming 5 years.
Key responsibilities will include: Develop a framework for commercial management, cost estimation, and performance management to ensure consistency and value across TasWater's capital works program.
Oversee partner relationships, manage commercial risks, and ensure TasWater meets quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance obligations.
Lead a multi-disciplinary team, fostering a high-performance culture with a focus on development and capability.
Monitor and report on program performance, manage financial budgets, and benchmark capital works performance against industry standards.
Build and maintain relationships with our capital works partners, promoting a safety-first culture across project delivery.

What we're looking for Due to the high-value capital works program at TasWater, we're seeking an experienced candidate with a strong background in program leadership and commercial management of complex capital projects.
Our ideal background: Extensive leadership experience in capital program and project delivery, particularly within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Expertise in commercial management, cost estimation, and performance oversight, with a focus on driving efficiency and value.
Proven ability to manage partner relationships and ensure alignment with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
Skilled in fostering collaborative, cross-functional teams and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
