We are looking for a seasoned Procurement Leader who will establish and oversee the complete procurement strategy, process, and systems across the B&J business. Our ideal candidate will foster a collaborative, inclusive environment that is focused on growth and development.
What you will do: Reporting directly to the People, Procurement & Supply Chain Director, the Head of Procurement is critical in supporting the business to achieve its short- and long-term goals. This role will be responsible for building and executing a sustainable sourcing strategy for the B&J business. Key responsibilities include:
Safety - Ensure compliance with B&J Health and Safety policies and procedures and support the B&J safety culture journey. Quality - Partner with our production, R&D, and quality teams to ensure we have the right materials to deliver to customers and support new product development. Strategy - Develop & execute the sustainable sourcing strategy to meet the business's short- and long-term goals, ensuring strong supply that appropriately manages supply risks and costs. Value - Source, procure, and provide competitive procurement options for goods and services, supporting new initiatives that deliver the best and most cost-effective outcomes for B&J and our customers. Customer Service - Ensure procurement activities meet & exceed the demands of our customers. Process Improvement - Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, including cost savings projects. Reporting - Report and update procurement metrics and performance to the organization. What you need to succeed: Experience in purchasing in a manufacturing & or commercial environment. Proven experience negotiating pricing, delivery timeframes, and purchasing needs. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience in M3. Strong analytical & problem-solving skills. Proven purchasing and inventory management expertise. Experience in strategic sourcing across multiple categories.
