The College Headmaster is inviting applications from highly experienced Christian Educational Leaders for the position of Head of Primary Years PreK-6. The role is a Senior Executive position at a Leadership 4 level, commencing at the start of 2025. The successful applicant will be accredited with the New South Wales Educational Standards Authority (NESA) and will lead a team of highly competent, experienced, and enthusiastic staff. This Senior Executive Position at the College requires a Highly Experienced Christian Educational Leader with teaching experience and qualifications suitable for such a leadership role. Wollondilly is a co-educational Christian College operated by the Anglican Schools Corporation, located in pleasant rural surroundings at Tahmoor, about 60 minutes from Sydney's CBD. The College strives for educational excellence in a Christian context and includes modern, permanent, air-conditioned buildings. With approximately 1,300 students, it has grown to be a College of choice for those in the Wollondilly Shire and surrounding districts. Areas of Responsibility:
The Head of Primary Years is responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day running of the Primary College, ensuring effective and efficient systems are in place to support teaching, learning, pastoral care, and co-curricular activities. The Head of Primary Years will foster an orderly, disciplined learning environment in which students are engaged and striving for academic and personal excellence. Lead academic planning and curriculum implementation for the Primary Years Ensure NESA accreditation requirements for programming and assessment are consistently maintained by Primary Years teachers Lead the strategic direction of teaching and learning in the Primary Years with a strong focus on academic rigour and excellence Oversee the implementation of NAPLAN; analyze the data and develop strategies to continually improve literacy and numeracy across the Primary Years Work closely with Learning Support Staff to ensure students with additional needs are supported Oversee Student Well-being and Pastoral care needs of the students in the Primary Years Foster a collaborative culture across the staff team, ensuring understanding, engagement, and buy-in from all staff Lead Primary Years Assemblies and support the development of co-curricular opportunities for students
