We aim to be a key ally for Aussie businesses, expanding our digital solutions throughout 2024!What will you do?The purpose of the Head of Platforms position within Localsearch is to ensure the smooth operation, optimisation, and innovation of the company's core platforms and related development processes. Responsible for overseeing the Platforms Development team, the Head of Platforms plays a pivotal role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of the company's core platforms while driving continuous improvement and innovation.Ensure smooth, secure operation of IT platforms and manage Post Incident ReviewsOversee technical support for employees and sales teams, resolving issues to maintain productivityLead the team to optimize development processes, streamline deployments, and automate testingAlign platform solutions with strategic business goalsCollaborate with senior management on tech strategies for growth and innovationMaintain quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality, bug-free softwareEnsure systems comply with security, regulatory, and privacy standardsMonitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizationsBuild and lead a high-performing team, fostering skill growth and developmentManage offshore relationships and recommend offshore/hybrid or augmentation models to support Localsearch's IT capacity growth.Strengthen vendor relationships, evaluate emerging products, handle due diligence, negotiate contracts, manage SLA breaches, and approve invoices as delegated by the CTO.Who are you & what will you bring?Extensive experience in software development, CRM, subscription engines, payment gateways, and finance systemsProven leadership in managing cross-functional teams to achieve business goalsExpertise in IT infrastructure, DevOps, digital product development, and strategic planningStrong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical teamsProficient in Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and ConfluenceSkilled in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and cybersecurity best practicesStrong problem-solving abilities to optimize processes and drive improvementBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; certifications in Salesforce CRM, Zuora, or similar systems preferredWhy it's great to work with us!Perks
