Head of Operations - FMCGThe businessConnectAPAC are delighted to partner with a long standing client of ours in the FMCG Manufacturing space as we recruit an experienced Head of Operations to join the business, reporting into the CEO.This is a rapidly growing business and they are looking to extend their position as the industry leader in a category that is experiencing explosive growth.The Role:The Head of Operations role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the business Site, ensuring that production processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the company's strategic goals. The Head of Operations will work closely with other members of the executive team to develop and implement strategies that enhance productivity, improve quality, and optimise resource utilisation. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with the CEO and other members of the Senior Leadership Team to set strategic goals and make high-level decisions.Oversee all aspects of operations including production planning, quality, maintenance and supply chain management.Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement.Implement principles and other process improvement methods to enhance operational efficiency.Drive initiatives to reduce waste, improve product quality, and increase overall productivity.Develop and manage operations budget, ensuring cost control and efficient allocation of resources.Analyse financial reports and operational data to make informed decisions that enhance profitability.Build and mentor a high-performing operations team, providing guidance, training and professional development opportunities.Champion a strong safety culture and ensure that all employees adhere to safety protocols.Key Experience & Attributes needed: (These are a must!)Proven experience as a Head of Operations or in a similar senior operational leadership role within the food manufacturing industry.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and efficient manufacturing principles.Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operational strategies that drive efficiency and profitability.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvementIf this exciting opportunity is of interest, simply APPLY and James Slaven will handle your application in confidence.
