About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the
Obstetrics and Gynaecology
team as a
Medical Unit Head , where you will be responsible for:
The leadership and management of high-quality inpatient, outpatient, and community Obstetrics and Gynaecology Services.
Ensuring the provision of high standard clinical services to patients using evidence-based practice.
Supporting education and research within the Division and encouraging teamwork amongst staff for optimal clinical service outcomes.
Contributing to advances in knowledge in the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and leading the unit in quality management, quality assurance, and risk management activities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to work with individuals and families for positive health outcomes.
Highly developed leadership, supervision, management, and motivational skills to maximise individual and team performance.
Extensive experience in the provision of obstetric and gynaecology services to clients.
Experience in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Evidence of recent involvement in conducting research and publication.
