OUR PURPOSE AISNSW is the peak body supporting and representing Independent schools in NSW and provides a range of services across NSW and ACT. We believe in the excellence and opportunities that come with choice, diversity and independence in education and aim to serve and champion Independent schools. PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITY The Head of Marketing and Communications will develop and implement an effective Marketing and Communication strategy for all AISNSW communication channels to consistently articulate AISNSW's purpose, what we stand for, and how we work. The Head of Marketing and Communications will work closely with senior leaders in the organisation including the Head of Regulations, Community and Member Engagement and the Head of Media and Government Relations to market our services to member schools and to champion the Independent school sector as a whole by advocating on the issues important to them and communicating their value and contribution. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Head of Marketing and Communication plays a crucial role in building and maintaining AISNSW's reputation and brand to ensure the success of the Association's work in government-funded and corporate initiatives primarily providing high-quality services and professional learning to the Independent school sector. The Head of Marketing and Communications works collaboratively across the organisation to provide strategic advice and manage a pipeline of content created by the Marketing and Communication Team, education consultants, subject matter experts and the executive—responding with agility to opportunities and challenges as they arise. The position is also crucial to the current digital transformation project to move AISNSW to a new cloud-based CRM (Microsoft Dynamics), public website, membership portal, and event management portal. You bring a track record of developing and leading marketing and communications strategies to achieve maximum impact and mentoring and motivating teams within a fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years' experience in executive marketing and communication roles, demonstrating the ability to lead and execute communication initiatives and campaigns that align with AISNSW's strategic and organisational priorities. Strong leadership and team management skills are essential, as is extensive experience in proactively managing reputational issues and mitigating risks. Proven experience in the Independent school sector would be advantageous. In addition, you will be adept at problem-solving under tight deadlines, ensuring high-quality work and sound strategic advice and have a willingness to provide flexible support, as needed, to ensure seamless operations and responsiveness in critical situations. Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and advisory skills are crucial, particularly in collaborating with senior leaders to gain support for new initiatives and approaches while also maintaining AISNSW longstanding reputation for quality and excellence in the Independent school sector.
