DescriptionThe Head of Engineering, Facilities & Maintenance will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of maintenance, engineering, and facility management across multiple sites.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintenance Oversight: Ensure optimal performance of all manufacturing equipment and facilities, managing both reactive and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the maintenance team, including training, scheduling, and performance management.Budget & Cost Management: Develop and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring projects and activities are completed on time and within budget.Safety & Compliance: Maintain compliance with WHS, OHS, and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for staff and contractors.Project Management: Oversee capital works, new installations, equipment upgrades, and site expansions, ensuring projects meet timelines, budgets, and regulatory standards.Contractor & Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party contractors and service providers, ensuring service delivery meets operational requirements.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., Production, QA) to ensure effective equipment operations and resolve issues impacting production.Process & System Improvement: Develop and implement systems for efficient maintenance scheduling, reporting, and tracking, ensuring all tasks are completed according to best practices.Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance facility performance across all sites.ProfileThe successful candidate for the Head of Engineering, Facilities & Maintenance role will be an experienced and hands-on leader with a strong background in maintenance management, engineering, and facilities operations, ideally within the food manufacturing or meat production sectors.
