We choose where we work based on the need to connect and collaborate with our stakeholders and each other.The role you're doingAs the Head of Legal, Privacy you will play a critical role in achieving Medibank's 2030 vision. Our bold ambition requires not only innovative, preventative and personalised health and private health insurance products and services, but for these to be designed with the right privacy and data protection advice and support for customer trust.In this role you will:Maintain a fit for purpose privacy framework and privacy management plan across the Medibank Group for the protection of personal information and management of privacy obligations. Through expert legal advice, guidance and leadership you will help drive a strong culture of privacy at Medibank.Collaborate cross-functionally with leaders and their teams to find value enhancing, practical privacy solutions to enable the Group to pursue its strategic objectives while safeguarding customer trust and confidence.Energise the team to innovate and seek ways to improve to create efficiencies for the delivery of privacy legal services including through technology, self-service tools and streamlining processes.What we're looking forAn experienced leader with an entrepreneurial spirit who will work with our team to innovate and achieve great outcomesStrong relationship building, problem solving and collaboration skills and the ability to effectively influence and communicate privacy-related concepts10 years or more of experience in the privacy profession with at least 7 years in senior legal counsel roles providing strategic privacy and data protection adviceIn-depth knowledge of Australian privacy laws and an awareness of trends and developments in privacy practiceExperience with an enterprise-wide privacy program including implementation of tools and products in supportExperience guiding teams on privacy projects such as consent preference centers, cookie management tools, PIA digital tools and matter management processesLaw degreeExperience in health insurance, financial services and/or healthcare companies an advantageImagine working with usWe understand that work means different things to everyone...
