This pivotal role will collaborate closely with a diverse professional team within Freyssinet and provide strategic legal guidance across Australia and New Zealand.Role Overview:The Head of Legal oversees legal and contractual affairs for Freyssinet in both Australia and New Zealand, leading the Legal and Contracts team, managing the company's insurance portfolio, and providing strategic advice on risk, claims, and disputes.Key Responsibilities:Commercial Support: Collaborate with Business Unit Managers and Operations Managers on claims frameworks, risk assessments, negotiation support, and dispute management.Insurance Portfolio Management: Oversee the company's insurance portfolio, including renewals and claims management.Tender Review & Risk Assessment: Conduct tender reviews for projects over $2.5M, ensuring MD approval and compliance with Freyssinet's Contractual Policy.Dispute Management: Actively manage contract disputes, negotiate resolutions, and engage external lawyers for complex cases.Additional Responsibilities: Offer limited HR, WHS, and IR legal support, manage minimal Co-Sec duties, and provide general legal guidance on property and lease management.Your Experience:Qualified legal professional with a minimum of 5-10 years in a similar in-house role.Strong background in contract law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance, with experience in the construction or engineering industry.Proven ability to handle complex legal issues with business-focused solutions.Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including client representatives, engineers, and external counsel.Why Join Freyssinet?If you are an adaptable and proactive legal professional seeking an opportunity to drive impact within a forward-looking engineering company, we encourage you to apply and become part of Freyssinet Australia's journey in shaping sustainable infrastructure.Promoting Diversity and Inclusion at Freyssinet!At Freyssinet, we value diversity and inclusion.
