Level 3, $132,143 - $144,601 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2023)This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025 with possible extension (12 months)Coodanup College is seeking a dedicated and innovative school leader to join their friendly team as the Head of Learning Area (HoLA) - Mathematics.Coodanup College is a caring learning environment where we support our students to strive for excellent standards of achievement and behaviour.
Located in south-eastern Mandurah, our college caters for students in Years 7 to 12.
Through our motto 'Explore, Dream, Discover', our College is known for encouraging our students to explore through their learning, dream about what they want to achieve at school and beyond, and discover ways to be the best they can be.The successful applicant should possess the skills to translate the priorities of the school's Business Plan into a learning area operational plan that provides clear direction for their staff while supporting staff in their development both individually and as a team, also holding them accountable for day to day work and for the implementation of the plan and achievement of the learning area's goals.An important aspect of the position will be the ability to understand the wider school context and constructively work with other HoLAs and the administration team to improve Numeracy within the college.
The successful applicant will ideally have a deep knowledge of the Year 7 to 12 curriculum including compliance, assessment, and reporting practices.Heads of Learning Area also hold a dual leadership portfolio (numeracy) within Coodanup College, this will be determined in alignment with the successful applicant's skills and experience.
The successful applicant will ideally have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain the enthusiasm and commitment of the teachers across the college.
