We encourage students to be passionate and courageous about their educational journey and embrace a mindset that they can make a difference both locally and globally.We are looking for a dynamic Head of Learning Area - Health and Physical Education to join our welcoming and vibrant College.Placing students at the heart of everything we do, the successful candidate will be committed to 'Cura Personalis': care for the whole person in support of educational best practice.SELECTION CRITERIAModel the Catholic and Ignatian tradition of the College through exemplary Christian leadership for all members of the College community.Appropriate experience, knowledge and skills to lead the Health and Physical Education program at the College.Demonstrated ability as an instructional leader with outstanding classroom pedagogy.Possess an educational vision and strong sense of purpose consistent with the College Mission.Articulate a comprehensive understanding of current educational issues.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including team building, coaching and mentoring.Staff wellbeing is important to us at John XXIII College. Staff benefit from a range of wellbeing initiatives as part of a supportive and collegial workplace.Applicants must actively support and promote the ethos of the College and all teachers are required to have, or be prepared to obtain, necessary accreditation through Catholic Education Western Australia.
