As Australia's first Women's Trauma Recovery Centre (the 'Centre') offering long term support to women who have experienced domestic family and sexual violence, we intend to continually refine and improve our services to ensure we are supporting women to live independent, secure lives with hope and optimism. As we continue to expand our reach and impact, we are seeking a dynamic woman to join us as the Head of Implementation and Lived Expertise. In this role, you will lead the successful research and knowledge translation components of the Centre's programs and initiatives while integrating lived expertise across all functions of the Centre.
About us: The Centre is a community-led initiative, codesigned with women with lived expertise, professional experts and service providers to offer free comprehensive and long-term support to women recovering and healing from the trauma of domestic, family and sexual violence.
The Centre is a project of the Illawarra Women's Health Centre. Established in 1986, we are nationally accredited and provide a safe place for women to access specialised high-quality women's medical and health care services.
Where you will channel your energy: Co-create solutions, policies, and practices with individuals with lived experience, community partners, and stakeholders to empower marginalised communities.Facilitate engagement opportunities for lived experience insights to inform program design, implementation, and evaluation.Assist in shaping significant and strategic research agendas that yield new insights and opportunities to address the traumatic impacts of gender-based violence and abuse.Drive and lead innovative funding initiatives and applications as the chief investigator, securing essential research funding to propel Women's TRC forward.Design cutting-edge evaluation frameworks, performance metrics, and data collection methods to vividly showcase program impact.Transform data into powerful insights, shaping decision-making and revolutionising program effectiveness.Deliver compelling program outcomes and stories to stakeholders through engaging reports and presentations.Inspire and lead a dynamic team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth.Craft impactful reports on Centre operations for the Leadership Team, Board, and stakeholders, highlighting program success and compliance with passion and clarity.Proactively identify and tackle risks, challenges, and opportunities for improvement, implementing innovative strategies to enhance project effectiveness and drive success.About YOU: Hold qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or a related field.Bring a minimum of 5 years proven experience in knowledge translation and program design to drive impactful initiatives.Demonstrate a successful track record in public health and/or research related to domestic, family, and sexual violence, as well as violence or abuse-related trauma.Possess a strong understanding of issues related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice, with a steadfast commitment to centering lived expertise in organisational practices and decision-making.Exhibit excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills, effectively engaging and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.Have experience designing and implementing robust evaluation frameworks, conducting data analysis, and leveraging data for program improvement and informed decision-making.Show proven leadership experience with a history of leading teams, managing complex projects, and achieving results in a collaborative and inclusive manner.The nice to haves (desirable knowledge and experience): Preferred prior experience working in the not-for-profit sector, contributing to meaningful social change.Minimum 5 years' experience of demonstrated understanding of family, domestic, and sexual violence, along with the profound impacts of trauma.Fluency in a community language other than English, enhancing your ability to connect with diverse populations.Minimum 5 years proven experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and communities, including LGBTIQA+, disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, individuals with low socioeconomic status, migrants, refugees, and multicultural groups, fostering inclusive and supportive environments.What we do for you: Work with Purpose: Be part of a passionate and highly regarded not-for-profit organisation dedicated to making a real difference in the community.Flexible Salary Packaging: Take advantage of our flexible salary packaging options to maximise your take-home pay.Extra Leave: Enjoy additional leave during the festive season, on top of standard leave entitlements, giving you more time to relax and recharge.Wellness Leave: Prioritise your physical and mental well-being with four days of dedicated wellness leave each year.Professional Development: Access a wealth of ongoing learning opportunities and career development programs to help you grow and excel in your role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
