Reporting directly to the Chief People & Culture Officer, the Head of Human Resources & Safety plays a pivotal role in shaping our client's HR strategy and fostering a high-performance culture. This senior leadership position oversees the comprehensive HR function, offering strategic support to senior leadership and executive teams. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Hands-On HR Leadership: Drive the strategic HR agenda by partnering with senior leaders to align HR initiatives with the company's strategic goals. Lead a team of HR professionals in talent acquisition, industrial relations, and employee lifecycle management. This is a highly operational role where you'll be expected to lead from the front, taking a hands-on approach to managing day-to-day HR activities while being actively involved in the execution of these initiatives.
Operational Excellence: Oversee HR operations across ANZ, ensuring compliance with best practices. Directly handle contract management, dispute resolution, investigations, and disciplinary procedures, ensuring effective and timely resolution of issues.
Compensation & Policy Enhancement: Maintain and enhance remuneration and grading systems. Lead improvements to HR policies, procedures, and services, ensuring all documentation meets business needs and regulatory requirements.
Diversity & Inclusion: Champion a diversity and inclusion strategy to cultivate an inclusive workplace culture. Manage HR systems and vendor relationships, ensuring effective support for internal stakeholders.
Governance & Reporting: Establish value-focused partnerships for HR services and products. Implement effective governance frameworks for HR and development matters. Provide accurate and timely reporting on HR metrics and handle escalated HR issues with discretion.
About You:
Expertise: Extensive knowledge of HR management principles, legislation, and occupational health and safety practices. Proven ability to lead and develop HR initiatives in complex organizational environments.
Hands-On Approach: Strong influencing and communication skills with stakeholders at all levels. Minimum 3 years of experience in senior HR leadership roles, supported by a tertiary qualification in HR management or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications: AHRI membership preferred; WHS and change management certifications desirable.
