Established in 2000, A4U has raised over $480m from individual donors, philanthropists and corporates, leading to direct impact on the ground delivering emergency support such as shelter, protection, clean water, food and medicines.Impact you will make in this roleThe Head of Fundraising is a leadership opportunity that plays a significant role in the development and implementation of strategies to acquire new and upgrade existing donors across Australia and New Zealand. This role will drive A4U's transformational diversification strategy across regular giving, single giving, appeals and community fundraising, with a specific focus on enhancing A4U's digital presence on all programs to foster greater engagement and reach. This role will also lead the emergency fundraising response to maximise income and donor engagement.You will collaborate with Executive leaders to shape the strategic direction and work with diverse teams to harness data-driven insights and align initiatives with audience needs. Partnering with UNHCR, you'll ensure strategies align with global goals and foster a culture of innovation.We are seeking an inspirational leader with a proven track record of successfully growing and optimising fundraising programs, with experience in driving digital initiatives. You will have your finger on the pulse of emerging global fundraising trends and be eager to push boundaries, employing your creativity and innovative mindset to explore and test new methods that will drive growth.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Planning:Develop and implement sustainable fundraising strategies to grow revenue in Australia and New Zealand while enhancing supporter experience.Set income targets, projections, and KPIs, and conduct strategic analysis to manage and evaluate income sources.Align decision-making with key analytics such as net lifetime value and ROI and contribute to overarching UNHCR fundraising initiatives.Fundraising:Create data-driven operational and strategic fundraising plans aligned with A4U's goals.Innovate and test new fundraising strategies across cash giving, RG and community fundraising (with a focus on digital), identifying funding opportunities, and managing supplier relationships.Monitor portfolio performance, adjust plans as needed, and ensure strong stakeholder relationships.Supporter Experience:Lead initiatives to gather and utilise supporter insights, enhancing supporter journeys and experiences.Collaborate with teams to improve engagement and loyalty through effective segmentation and analytics.Emergency Response:Develop and implement the Emergency Strategy, overseeing fundraising efforts during crises and coordinating with global teams.Leadership:Lead and develop staff to achieve high-quality outcomes and engage actively in the Leadership Team to direct the fundraising function.Foster staff engagement through communication and recognition, supporting A4U's organisational culture.Experience & QualificationsProven senior experience in fundraising with a background in leading multi-channel Individual Giving strategies, to include digital fundraising.Strong leadership skills with a track record of empowering, developing and motivating teams.Expertise in budget development, with exceptional numerical and analytical abilities to inform decision-making.Experience managing supplier and program performance in the fundraising sector.Solid understanding of segmentation and experience with data-driven marketing campaigns.Ability to build collaborative and productive relationships with stakeholders.Strong project management skills, effectively coordinating multiple stakeholders to achieve outcomes.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strategic thinker with a focus on innovative and creative solutions.Results-oriented mindset, driven to achieve organisational goals.High-level organisational and change management skills, with a focus on innovation and adaptability.ApplicationsPlease apply by uploading your resume and cover letter.
