Wesley College Melbourne, a school of the Uniting Church, established in 1866, is one of Australia's leading and most respected co-educational independent schools. With an enrolment of 3,400 students from ECLC to Year 12, it comprises three metropolitan campuses in Melbourne, at St Kilda Road, Glen Waverley and Elsternwick, outdoor education sites at Chum Creek, Mallana and Lochend, and a Year 9 residential campus at Clunes.

The College seeks to appoint a

Head of Faculty, English

at the St Kilda Road Campus commencing from 2025. This Position of Responsibility is for an initial 3-year term. It is full-time (1.0 FTE position), consisting of a 0.64 FTE teaching load.

The Head of Faculty, English role is an important leadership and management role operating at both campus and College levels.

The Head of Faculty is expected to display leadership in curriculum development and pedagogy, with particular focus on the disciplines within the faculty across the Years 7 – 12 and to promote creative, innovative thinking among colleagues. The Head of Faculty is also expected to manage both the teaching staff and the curriculum implementation needs of the faculty (documentation, resources, compliance procedures, processes that improve student achievement).
