As long as you know your subject matter, we can teach you the other stuff and show you what's happened while you were away.The RoleThe Head of Direct Marketing is accountable for the performance of Oxfam Australia's portfolio of mass fundraising initiatives spanning multiple segments, products, campaigns and channels that inspire initial and continued support of our work. In taking a strategic and "Supporter First" approach, the position ensures that fundraising activities achieve the right balance in driving annual net revenue; long-term supporter loyalty; and appropriate overarching levels of ROI.The position also works cross-functionally to ensure that fundraising campaigns are aligned to the OAU strategy; meet the high ethical standards that Oxfam sets and that communications accurately reflect the work of the Agency and the context in which we operate.The position leads the Direct Marketing unit with direct reporting being a Direct Marketing Manager, a Gift in Wills Manager and a Special Supporter Coordinator. The position is responsible for the strategy and operational plan that drives engagement and financial support from Direct Marketing offers, appeals, regular giving, middle donor segments and bequests.A little about you (the key selection criteria)To be successful in this role you will have:Leadership and people management: Demonstrated experience managing, inspiring, and supporting high-performing and diverse teams, with the ability to lead, support and coach direct reports through complexity and ambiguity.Campaigns and strategy: Demonstrated experience in development, implementation and oversight of highly effective direct marketing campaigns which are values aligned, in a fundraising context.Analysis and insights: Extensive experience in using and analysing data, customer insights, customer segmentation and market analysis to deliver on strategic goals.Budgets: Demonstrated experience managing and navigating complex budgets to deliver results in a cost-effective way.Interpersonal skills: High degree of emotional intelligence and humility, and ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders – incl. individual contributors, subject matter experts and specialised teams – as a key collaborator.Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.We can offer youA base salary of $132,147.72 plus superannuation, superior leave benefits and access to generous non-for-profit salary packaging program (up to $18,450 of your salary tax-free).The opportunity to use your talents and expertise to make a positive impact around the world.We value flexibility and seek to support our people to work in ways that meet their work/life commitments and support their wellbeing.Cultural leave.Superannuation matching.Our culture is shaped by our values, which reinforce what we care about and how we do things, not just what we do.
