This role has an allocation of 0.6FTE for Head of Digital Learning responsibilities and we are looking for suitable applicants with a current VIT registration and additional teaching methods which the School can utilise.
General and Specific Duties: The Head of Digital Learning will work closely with the Deputy Principal, Director of Learning and Head of Teaching and Professional Growth to:
Develop and refine the Digital Learning Strategy for the School.
Promote and support the Heads of Department (Garnsey) and Head of Learning – Junior Schools, with the integration of innovative pedagogies into the curriculum.
Collaborate with teachers to develop curriculum which meaningfully integrates technology into the teaching, and more importantly, the learning process.
Lead, promote and support teachers with the use and sharing of innovative and effective technology integration into classes, the selection and evaluation of learning activities, tools and resources catering for differentiated and extended learning.
This includes supporting the staff in the classroom when needed.
Oversee and ensure the current implementation of the student notebook programme is effective and comprehensively beneficial (with Head of IT).
Lead and promote the sharing of information technology achievements and initiatives between individuals, departments, and other campuses.
Conduct the annual software audit for the booklist.
Maintain a strong awareness of online resources for teaching and learning.
Active development of strategic initiatives through the Head of Department Team.
Attend meetings as required.
