Seeking proven leaders in Development to work for an independent Commonwealth Entity;Permanent Opportunity with office based in Sydney CBD;Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Technology stack required.Position Summary

As the Head of Development, you will oversee and develop our client's dynamic engineering team, driving the development and implementation of innovative solutions across diverse software environments, with a focus on transitioning from pro-code to low-code platforms.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring continuous improvement within business technology, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and ensure customer satisfaction. You will work to uplift capability and collaborate closely with our business units to ensure seamless project delivery.

Key Accountabilities Lead, mentor, and grow a team of developers, fostering a high-performance culture and encouraging professional growth. Establish clear goals and expectations, provide regular feedback, and promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment;Develop and execute a comprehensive software engineering strategy, aligning with organisational goals and the IT technology roadmap;Drive innovation and continuously enhance the platform's capabilities to suit the needs of the business;Oversee the successful delivery of complex projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budgetary constraints;Provide guidance and support to project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement;Foster effective cross-functional collaboration with all other internal departments to drive integrated solutions and maximise business outcomes. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and provide regular updates;Manage external vendors and consultants involved in the platforms development by providing technical direction and co-ordinating activities between internal and external resources.Skills & Experience Proven leadership experience at "Head of" level, including managing teams of 5-10+ Engineers (Front end/Back end/ Full stack);Strong experience in Microsoft Dynamics CE CRM and Power Platform and migrations from pro-code to low-code platforms;Background in software development across pro-code environments (Microsoft Stack), with a track record of successfully managing architectural design through to delivery of complex digital projects;Advanced knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Azure, .NET, Dynamics365 CRM and MS Power Platform;Agile project delivery experience;Enterprise application integration experience;Ability to engage with cross-functional stakeholders, including Project Managers, Business Analysts and Business stakeholders, to ensure collaboration and timely project delivery.Qualifications Master's degree in software project management;Bachelor of Science (Computer Science);Certified Scrum master (CSM);Certified Professional Scrum Master (PSM-I);Project Management Training Completed (35 PDU's and approved by PMI.org);Microsoft certified Power Platform Solutions Architect;Microsoft certified Trainer 2021-2022 (MCT);Microsoft certified Power Platform Functional Consultant;Microsoft certified Dynamics 365 fundamentals;Microsoft certified Power Platform fundamentals.How to Apply
