Toowoomba State High School is seeking a dynamic Head of Department - Arts & Hospitality to lead the ongoing improvement of the Educational Achievement of our young people.
The role will require strong interpersonal skills and actively working with partners across the community to deliver on the outcomes identified in the Annual Improvement Plan.
A strong focus for the Toowoomba State High School community is the provision of extra-curricular activities for our young people and as Head of Department Arts & Hospitality you would have an active role in this.

About the Role As Head of Department - Arts/Hospitality, you will lead a dynamic team to deliver on the Strategies and Outcomes of the school's Strategic and Annual Implementation Plan.
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.Embed socially just practices in daily school life.Set high standards for student and staff performance.Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.Be futures oriented and strategic.A mandatory requirement of this role is: Current full registration, or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland.
