The OpportunityCarey Baptist College Harrisdale is seeking a full-time Head of Department – Teaching & Learning on a fixed term contract for 12 months, commencing January 2025.
The Head of Teaching & Learning is a leader within the Curriculum Team, primarily focused on supporting Department Heads and teachers in implementing and delivering innovative, rich, and engaging teaching programs and assessments.About the RoleThis full-time position consists of leadership and teaching.
This role involves fostering an outstanding culture of teaching and learning, emotional intelligence, and exceptional knowledge of pedagogy.
You will motivate and support both staff and students, integrating research, data, and innovative practices into the core of education to ignite curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.As Head of Department, key responsibilities include working closely with other HoDs and staff to provide mentoring and feedback.
