About the Role As the Head of Department, you will:
Lead curriculum focus in line with school and departmental initiativesParticipate in delivering the vision of State Schools DivisionDevelop the quality of teaching and learningNurture positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholdersPlay a lead role in building the school priority agendas of STEM, Aerospace, GISPH2 and the Bundaberg Educational Health HUBPlay a lead role in the management of Health, Safety and Wellbeing and Chemical ManagementBuild and maintain community connections and links to industry to support pathway opportunities for studentsThe Head of Department is accountable to and under the direction of the Principal or delegate.
About You The successful candidate must have the demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with students and maintain high expectations for student behaviour and performance. In addition, the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and lead the planning and implementation of new and evolving curriculum and assessment, that is inclusive of all students, is essential.
