Head of Department - Health and Physical EducationLeader of Learning Health and Physical EducationThe Leader of Learning Health and Physical Education is a member of the College's Learning and Staff Development Team and carries the primary responsibility for the ongoing development, programming, implementation, and supervision of the Health and Physical Education curriculum and the quality of teaching and learning that is provided for each student.The Leader of Learning Health and Physical Education works across the College Year 7 to Year 12 under the direction of the Deputy Principal Teaching and Learning Pk-12 in the development and supervision of the College's overall systematic curriculum delivery and all matters related to leadership. In particular, the Leader of Learning Health and Physical Education has responsibility for:Embedding the College Vision for LearningEvaluating and exploring contemporary student learning and pedagogyDevelopment and ongoing evaluation of quality Teaching and Learning ProgramsIdentification and implementation of staff professional learning frameworks to build teacher efficacyAdministration – Assessment and reportingOur College is spread over three beautiful campuses, Marcellin (Secondary School), Lavalla (Years 3-6), and Marian (Kindy – Year 2), home to approximately 1800 students and 250 staff.We are a PK-12 Catholic School, educating in the Marist Tradition, which endeavours to lead students to know and love Jesus Christ.
