Your New Role Reporting to the Head of Compliance & Operational Risk, your new role is an integral senior leadership position within the First Line Compliance & Operational Risk team in Fund Services.
The role is responsible for the management and oversight of the Fund's compliance framework across Investments, Fund Services and Strategy & Corporate Affairs.
You will work with senior stakeholders across multiple domains (Investments, Member, Colleagues & Culture, Group Risk etc.)
to ensure a robust and fit-for-purpose compliance framework is implemented and risk of non-compliance is effectively managed taking into account the size, scale and complexity of the Fund.
Key duties include but are not limited to: Lead and develop the team responsible for operating the compliance management framework across Investments, Fund Services and Strategy & Corporate Affairs.Act as a trusted advisor to the business on key regulatory, obligation and compliance matters, delivering risk-based, compliant and practical solutions.Keep abreast of regulatory and industry developments, ensuring the business is kept informed and prepared for change.Work with the business and first line risk teams on the assessment and management of breaches and incidents.
This includes chairing the Fund Services Incident Review Group.Motivate and inspire the team by demonstrating commitment to the Fund's values, decision pillars and leadership principles.Build and maintain internal relationships across all levels of the Fund.What You'll Need Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance or Risk/Compliance disciplines is beneficial to be successful in this role.Extensive experience in a compliance or legal function with an institutional investment organisation or law firm / legal department (superannuation fund, investment/fund manager, bank, asset consultant).Deep knowledge of the regulatory environment in which a superannuation fund / global fund manager operates in.Track record of delivering efficient, effective and commercial outcomes that deliver value to the business and/or process improvement.Strong knowledge of compliance and risk frameworks is required to be successful in the role.Strong background in managing competing deadlines and priorities within tight timeframe.Life at AustralianSuper AustralianSuper is committed to colleague development, and we support our people with ongoing learning, coaching and training, as well as career opportunities across our expanding global organisation.
