About the Opportunity Reporting to the General Manager (GM) Commercial SSN AUKUS, the Head of Commercial & Partnerships is accountable for executing commercial outcomes through sound practices to deliver on contractual requirements.
The Head of Commercial & Partnerships will contribute to the development and optimisation of service agreements and contracts, ensuring cost, timing, and resourcing commitments align with ASC's strategy. The incumbent will also provide leadership to the Commercial Team, setting direction and establishing challenging performance targets.
Working with ASC's SSN AUKUS Commercial leadership team, this role requires maintaining a strategic perspective on the SSN AUKUS Program, considering long-term issues, opportunities, and risks to ensure ongoing commercial success.

Responsibilities Develop and optimise service agreements and contracts for cost, timing and resourcing commitments for SSN AUKUS. Align activities with ASC's strategy to meet relevant contractual deliverables. Exhibit flexibility in working hours to support engagement with ASC's partners. Be prepared for periodic or regular overseas travel. About You Tertiary qualifications in Law, Business Management, or a related discipline. A minimum of 10 years post-graduate experience in a commercial, legal, or business advisory role. Significant experience in managing and developing complex contracts, including resolution of highly complex issues to achieve positive commercially focused outcomes. Extensive experience in drafting agreements and managing commercial risk. High-quality writing skills, excellent time management, and organisational skills. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with others. Proficient in both written and verbal communication with excellent negotiation and persuasion skills. Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
