Specialising in complex Rail Infrastructure, our client is well known for delivering high quality projects, maintaining key relationships and building sustained growth.Qualifications And ExperienceDegree qualified or equivalentMinimum 12 years relevant experience within engineering/construction environment/ legal or commercialComprehensive knowledge of the commercial management and governance requirements of infrastructure projectsComprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of contract management, program financial management, supply chain management, risk and opportunity management, performance reporting, budget preparation and administrationPrinciples of continuous improvement in relation to commercial applicationPrinciples of supervision, training, performance evaluation and professional developmentAbility to develop, and manage the commercial aspects of multiple projects/programs of workHigh level ability to forecast, manage and report on complex budgetsHigh level conceptual and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to analyse complex issues and to solve difficult problems on a regular basis, identifying causes and offering alternative solutionsIn-depth knowledge of commercial and risk management processes and practices, and the ability to apply these across multiple projects/programs of workCapable of developing a high-level understanding of client expectations and a high-level ability to form and maintain positive relationshipsUnderstanding of sustainable procurement is desirablePersonal QualitiesStrong negotiating, listening and communication skills with an ability to relate to people from a wide range of positionsAbility to lead and influence the performance of team members towards the achievement of team goalsAbility to effectively handle high stress environments with resilienceStrong stakeholder and communication management skillsProven experience in leading and managing teamsExcellent interpersonal skills including the ability to influence across the organisation and externallyPosition RequirementsProvide leadership to the Commercial Team, ensuring collaboration, consistency of process and practice and excellent teamwork with the projectParticipates in the preparation, submission, and agreement of the project monthly reports (PMRs)Manages the preparation and submission of interim progress claims and final accounts, ensuring their timely processingHandles all subcontract progress payment claims, variations, contractual claims and final accounts in accordance with the terms of agreementsManages contractual issues associated with subcontractors/suppliers and provides advice to the project delivery leads on contractual issuesAnalyses financial and cost reports identifying existing or potential variances/trends, providing challenge and recommendations as appropriate for agreement with the project delivery leadsPlans and allocates tasks to ensure deadlines are met, monitoring performance of any subordinates to ensure high standards of technical performance in contract administration functionsEstablishes the commercial and contractual management processes and procedures for the delivery teams, including cost/value reconciliation of project budgets ensuring Actual Outturn Costs (AOC) are delivered in a robust mannerAssists Estimators where necessary to ensure that costs for estimates are based on realistic timing and cost structuresResponsible for all project procurement, ensuring procurement is in line with company policy and procedure, and incorporates sustainable procurement practices (indigenous participation etc.)Manages relationships with associations such as Supply NationDevelops and manages Corporate CSR and Sustainability Targets and reviews each project set of targetsMonitors and reviews each project's sustainability against the corporate targets on a quarterly basisReviews risks and opportunities across all facets of project risk, including social and environmental aspectsConducts annual reviews on sustainability against the corporate targets and re-evaluates targets where necessaryWith the project delivery leads, develops and agrees the project procurement strategy, developing and implementing the project procurement plan to support the project schedulesHow to Apply:Please click 'Apply Now' or contact Stuart - ******
