If you have a passion for financial health and debt recovery, this could be the perfect role for you!The role:The Head of Collections for the Pay business unit is responsible for driving the Pay BU's financial health through effective arrears management and debt recovery strategies.This role will be instrumental in driving the Pay BU's financial health through effective arrears management and debt recovery strategies, while also shaping industry thought leadership and risk management practices.As a subject matter expert on collections for Pay products & services, you'll oversee the management and growth of our collections function.
You'll ensure efficient operations, exceptional customer service, and strict adherence to regulatory guidelines.In addition, you'll be a key voice in shaping the future of collections and risk management for the Pay business unit, fostering a culture of innovation and proactive risk mitigation.In this role, you'll:Provide thought leadership in the collections space and arrears management strategy for the business unit.Develop a comprehensive three year strategy with an annual roadmap and be responsible for annual planning and quarterly business reviews.Lead a high-performing team of two analysts in designing, implementing, and monitoring the Pay BU's collection strategy, aligning it with the business' Path to Full Potential strategy.Foster strong collaboration with Collections Operations and Hardship teams to deliver seamless and effective execution of collections strategy, operational effectiveness of debt and customer management.Be responsible for debt sale management, including optimising our debt sale strategy, maintaining debt sale governance and ensuring all forward flow and inventory tenders are completed.Manage key strategic relationships with key advisory/debt management partners.Manage net charge offs in line with budget and remain in line with delinquency targets.Provide regular management reporting and key insights for Pay Credit Risk Collections on delinquency and loss performance to peers, business partners and stakeholders.Analyse data and trends to identify opportunities for ongoing process improvements and operational efficiencies.Drive departmental performance by generating regular reports on metrics like collections, aging receivables, and projected revenue.Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation of collections data.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies, maintaining high ethical standards in all collection activities.Perform any other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time.Skills & Experience:Solid background in designing and implementing a data-driven Collections strategy within the financial services industry for consumer credit portfolios.Strong understanding of collection strategies, regulations, and compliance requirements.Experience working with or knowledge of relevant collections industry associations is preferred.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.Bachelor's degree in a numeric discipline or related field.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.Strong problem-solving abilities to identify issues and develop effective solutions.Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and management.Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and industry trends.Sound like you?That's a good sign!
