Queensland Pathways State College (QPSC) is a state high school that specializes in supporting young people aged 15 to 18 (minimum grade 10), who encounter significant challenges to attending mainstream education. We provide a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed approach to education, to assist students in their final years of schooling to achieve success.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Head of Campus who will lead the growth and development of our two North Brisbane Campuses, Moreton Bay and BrackenRidge. This role is offered on a full-time temporary basis, for the duration of Term 1, 2025 unless otherwise determined. The campuses are part of our larger college community, upholding our values of unity, belief, and respect.

About Queensland Pathways State College (QPSC)QPSC delivers a 12-month senior transitions program designed for vulnerable students who are determined to complete their senior studies but have faced significant challenges, beyond their control, to attending mainstream schooling. Many of our students are experiencing anxiety, depression, homelessness, or trauma. Through creating a safe and supportive environment, we inspire these students to achieve their goals and successfully transition to further learning (TAFE or university) or employment. Our curriculum delivery has a strong focus on literacy, numeracy, workplace skills, and wellbeing. Our students are able to achieve their QCE through a combination of QCAA and VET courses, and we assist students wishing to transition to tertiary studies through alternative, non-ATAR pathways.
About the RoleAs Head of Campus, your role will involve leading the following activities:
Implementing QPSC's strategic plan and aligning to Department of Education's Equity and Excellence Strategy.Enhancing educational outcomes for our students.Cultivating teaching and learning practices that are tailored unique to our setting and are trauma-informed.Fostering positive relationships among students, teachers, other campuses, the community, and stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include:
Championing QPSC's shared vision of 'Every Student Succeeding', ensuring high-quality teaching and learning outcomes that meet the needs of all students.Establishing and maintaining high standards for all student and staff performance.Building partnerships with parents, government agencies, and non-government organisations, to provide students with the necessary opportunities and support for success.Effectively managing campus resources to support educational objectives.About YouAn ideal candidate will possess the following experience and/or knowledge:
Demonstrated experience in effectively leading teams.Comprehension of the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and Vocational Education systems.Experience leading and implementing whole school strategic plans.Understanding of trauma-informed practices and adjustments for students with a disability.How to ApplyAttach your current CV (no more than 3 pages) including contact details of two professional referees.Attach a maximum 2-page written response outlining your suitability for the role addressing the key capabilities under the 'How you will be assessed' section.We welcome all applicants to share any support needed to ensure our recruitment process is inclusive.
