Contract: Fixed-Term, Full-Time Senior Leader position (5+5), with a continuing substantive full-time teaching or non-teaching role.Commencement: 13 January 2025 or to be negotiated with successful applicant.ABOUT THE ORGANISATION The Edmund Rice Flexi School (Elizabeth) is a campus of Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA). Our school provides an educational and wellbeing service for young people aged 12 – 21 years of age. Edmund Rice Flexi School aims to re-engage young people who are looking to access a different way of learning. Fundamental to our operation are the principles of Respect, Participation, Honesty and Safe & Legal. Staff and young people come together on 'common ground' where everyone has a voice in making decisions and establishing working agreements to foster a positive environment where young people can achieve positive educational and wellbeing outcomes.
Edmund Rice Flexi creates an environment where young people are given their voice in a safe setting whilst receiving a high level of wellbeing and educational support to help them achieve outcomes identified in their Learning and Wellbeing Plans. Students can complete their secondary schooling and access a variety of SACE subjects, internal and external VET (Vocational Education Training) courses and vocational training such as White card, First aid Certificate, and other options.
ABOUT THE ROLE Each Flexi School has a Head of Campus who has delegated responsibility from the Area Principal for the day-to-day management and leadership of the Flexi School campus. The Head of Campus provides leadership and supervision to staff and the young people of the community, working collaboratively with the Area Principal, Regional Team members and other EREAFSL personnel as required.
ABOUT YOU Understanding of and commitment to the values of a Catholic educational system of schools in the Edmund Rice tradition.Proven senior leadership experience, both strategic and operational, characterised by strong organisational, administrative, communication, and leadership skills.Able to demonstrate high-level communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills necessary to be successful in a complex and layered organisational structure.Capacity to lead the Flexi School culture in working under the four Principles of operation (Respect, Safe and Legal, Honesty and Participation) in a common ground framework.Capacity for multidisciplinary leadership to manage human, financial and physical resources to deliver high quality outcomes.Demonstrated interpersonal skills that support a strong community focus both within and external to the school.Demonstrated capacity to provide leadership in trauma informed practice and wellbeing support that ensures that young people can achieve positive social outcomes and re-engagement in learning.Capacity to provide leadership in learning and pedagogy supporting the achievement of quality learning outcomes for all young people.Relevant teaching qualifications and have (or be prepared to undertake) post graduate qualifications in one of the following areas: Education, Social Services, Educational Leadership, or Theology.Be registered, or be eligible for registration, as a teacher in the state in which the Flexi School is located.Working With Children Check Clearance.WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU: Learn how to do school differentlySalary sacrificing benefits, including FBT exempt payments of up to $15,900 p/aSupportive multi-disciplinary team environmentInduction, wellbeing and ongoing professional developmentAccess to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP)HOW TO APPLY: To apply for a position, please complete click apply to access our external application portal.
