The team is part of the wider Development, Philanthropy and Communications group.
You will deliver innovative campaigns, engaging content and strategic initiatives that amplify HRI's brand and enhance donor retention.
You'll collaborate with scientists, fundraisers, and corporate teams to ensure our mission resonates across all platforms.
This is a permanent role based in Newtown, with flexibility to work full time or a 4-day part time work week.

Specific Responsibilities include: Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the Brand & Communications team, fostering collaboration and refining work practises to maximise impact.Brand Strategy: Develop and implement a cohesive communications strategy that confidently represents HRI's brand across all channels.Content Creation: Oversee the production of compelling digital, print, and multimedia assets, ensuring alignment with HRI's objectives.Digital Engagement: Optimise HRI's online presence through content management, SEO/SEM, analytics, and digital campaigns.Support retention programs:Develop compelling narratives, newsletters, digital engagement, annual appeals and events/community fundraising initiatives.Internal Communications: Keep internal stakeholders informed and equipped with the resources to amplify HRI's initiatives.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with external suppliers, fundraisers, and researchers to deliver high-quality, timely and on budget projects.To be successful in this role you will have: 5+ years' experience in a Marketing/Communications roleRelevant tertiary qualificationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with good proofing and editing skillsAbility to multi-task multiple projects and stakeholdersStrong digital and email marketing skills, ideally in ActiveCampaignA good eye for detail and design, with graphic design experience highly regardedExperience in managing a team and external suppliersJoin The Heart Research Institute during a time of growth and innovation.
