Job Title: Head ChefLocation: Alexander's Bakery Southside – Silk Road KitchenHours: Full Time, Wednesday to Sunday, 6:30 am - 2:30 pmAbout Us:Alexander's Bakery Southside's new store in Corrimal is expanding its culinary offerings with the launch of the Silk Road Kitchen.
This newly fitted-out kitchen focuses on a fast-casual breakfast and lunch menu inspired by Middle Eastern, Eastern European, and Turkish flavours.
We offer a dine-in and takeaway experience that highlights heritage-inspired cuisine while maintaining our dedication to quality and tradition.Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team.
In this role, you'll work closely with our team to bring our Silk Road vision to life.
You'll manage all aspects of kitchen operations, from overseeing food preparation to assisting in the creation of recipe cards and processes.
Previous experience working with Middle Eastern and Eastern European flavours is a bonus, but not essential.Responsibilities:Lead the daily operations of the Silk Road Kitchen, ensuring the highest quality standards for all dishes.Prepare and present meals according to our fast-casual breakfast and lunch menu, with a focus on Middle Eastern, Eastern European, and Turkish flavours.Maintain the kitchen's cleanliness and organisation, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.Assist in developing and refining recipes, creating recipe cards, and establishing kitchen processes.Train and mentor sous chefs and other kitchen staff, ensuring consistent food quality and plating.Manage kitchen inventory, coordinate with suppliers, and oversee food ordering.Collaborate with management to innovate and improve menu offerings.Requirements:Minimum of 2 years of professional kitchen experience as a chef.Strong understanding of culinary basics, including cooking, plating, and food safety protocols.An eye for detail and a commitment to quality in every dish.Great time management skills to handle a busy kitchen environment.Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.A passion for working with diverse flavors and culinary traditions.What You'll Get:Competitive salary: $75,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience.Opportunity to work in a newly fitted kitchen with modern equipment.Be part of a growing and innovative culinary team.Enjoy a consistent work schedule with early morning to mid-afternoon hours.To Apply:If you're ready to bring your culinary skills to a kitchen that celebrates heritage-inspired cuisine, please send your resume and a cover letter outlining your experience and passion for food.Alexander's Bakery Southside – Where Tradition Meets Innovation.Job Type: Full-timePay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:Employee discountFree drinksFree foodSchedule:8 hour shiftExperience:Kitchen: 2 years (Preferred)Work Authorisation:Australia (Preferred)Work Location: In personExpected Start Date: 28/10/2024#J-18808-Ljbffr
