The Bohle Barn Hotel in Townsville is seeking a creative and career-focused Head Chef to lead our kitchen team on a full-time basis.
Reporting to the Venue Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen operation.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills and capabilities:
Previous experience in an A La Carte Hotel. A confident, modern, and creative cooking style with a strong emphasis on quality and presentation. A strong understanding of food cost and control. Be responsible for the ordering of all food items and other supplies for the kitchen. Conduct and coordinate monthly food stock takes in conjunction with the Hotel Manager. Have a high understanding of controlling wages within the kitchen department, also compiling the weekly roster. Great communication skills and the ability to train, lead, and develop a motivated team. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure. Trade Industry Qualifications in Commercial Cookery. Must have a current Food Safety Supervisor certificate. Manage, maintain, and control all aspects of the hotel's food safety control plan. Creating and developing the hotel's menu, daily specials, and function packages. In return, you will receive:
