THE POSITION
Daily operations of the Garden Restaurant kitchen providing high quality seated a la carte lunches Order and control stock and manage costs in line with business requirements and budgets Develop and mentor the team to deliver to the highest standards Champion the significance and accurate implementation of allergy awareness controls Ensure operations comply with OH&S and food safety guidelines Occasional collaborations with Melbourne Chef's when restaurant opens on selected nights Develop a solid understanding of the wider goals of the business and clients, whilst maintaining strong attention to detail THE PERSON
Chef's trade qualifications, with +2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a Hatted restaurant.
Comfortable working under pressure, unsupervised and to tight deadlines Experience working on high-end client functions Strong attention and respect for OH&S, Food Safety & HACCP regulations Team leadership skills, including onboarding, training, communication, and performance management Professional approach to problem solving in high pressure environments A current police check or ability to obtain is a mandatory requirement of this role THE BENEFITS
